Update to this: Steam specifically and clearly stated, the removal of games was because of Mastercard. Mastercard specifically went to Steam's payment processor and told them to threaten Steam, and never accused Steam of breaking the law. Just "brand image"
@MastercardNews Here is Steam's statement. They don't name you but they do say "our payment processors and their related card networks and banks (that's primarily you because you are part of a duopoly)"

Why would they ban ninja swords when we all know the majority of knife crime is committed with the Khopesh, or sometimes with a Naginata. England is not a serious country

Guys we're okay the steam thing was a one time event and not a slippery slope. It's not gonna affect anything else.
@makro_art Oh I stand behind Steam needing better moderation for sure. I just don’t think this is a slippery slope like most folks do. Again, I think times like these are points where you can change the system to better fit NSFW content on the platform for creators of that content.

How is that "opportunity" working out for you now? Thanks to people like this hundreds of completely innocent games have been removed. We need the censorship advocates gone.
Steam removing games with clearly questionable content isn’t an actual problem especially when you read what that content includes. At the end of the day, this presents an opportunity for the industry:. - Move harmful content away from users. - Broaden how it looks at games with.
