is sad to hear that retired astronaut & commander of the Apollo 13 mission Jim Lovell has died aged 97. Jim safely guided the Apollo 13 mission safely back to Earth in 1970. We send condolences to Jim's family & patron Fred Haise.

International Cat Day 🐱.Cats have inbuilt balancing system called 'righting reflex' that allows them to orient themselves/land on their feet. While cats are often able to land right way up, they don't always land on their feet. Height of fall can affect ability to land safely

On this day (7th August) in 1971 - Apollo 15 Command Module, carrying our former patron(RIP) Al Worden along with David Scott & James Irwin, splashed down in the Pacific Ocean. One of the three parachutes failed to open fully, so descent velocity was faster than planned.#Apollo15
