Abū Muḥammad al-Qaṣrī al-Mālikī (d. 608) said, “And like Mālik, who said […] ‘al-istiwā’ is known, and the kayf is not comprehensible,’ informing that al-istiwā’ is known, and what’s ‘known’ is ‘understood,’ no doubt.’” He isn’t Atharī, but still says Mālik didn’t do tafwīḍ.
