As a first-time dev, I thought “more ideas” =“better UI.” Launching Magic Inn taught me the opposite: Players don’t need clever. They need clear. I’m still learning. Hopefully Magic Inn’s UI gets clearer every update.

Seeing my game marked with a yellow mixed rating after launch hurts badly. I’m only human, and with limited resources I couldn’t make it perfect as a first-time dev. But I kept going, patching daily. Now the rating has turned around to mostly positive.

I know players can be really creative when they play games, but I never imagined something like this would happen in my game. OMG! How did he manage to serve 85 customers in a single day? My threshold was only 20! Look at the lobby, just full of chaos...
