"Ah- mm.. nah uh sh." Hand raised, bracelets clink, they shook their head. "No one forces me to do a single thing. I take on a parental role because I want to." Holding their hand out to her. "If I didn't want it, I would tell you. I have no problems with that, I assure you"
She sits but leaves speace "T-this.. this parental role. I dont deserve it nor should I be forcing it on you... it seems nice but..." she felt her chest clench as she bites her lip. "It just.. it feels..."

Smile- head tilting . "What exactly are you forcing on me, sweetheart" They asked, perching neatly on the end of the bed and adjusting their cardigan, patting the space beside them.
She saw the way it broke their heart and felt guilt well up. "Im sorry... im just... it doesnt feel like i deserve such a thing Nor should I be forcing such a thing on you because of dome stupid....." she pauses.. "nevermind..."

"My darling-" Frowning as she pulls away. But they let her, hands dropping back down to their sides. They saw the tears build- heart aching slightly.
She felt her heart clenching at the touch znd especially the look. The urge to refer to them as mom coming back but she feels unworthy of it. She tears up a bit and pulls away softly "Sorry.... ahem..."

"You're okay. It's alright. Momma's got you..." Murmuring. They'd happily fill the role, they always had. The honour of being seen as someone so safe to her.

"I know, my darling. I know you tried. They will get home, I promise. I know they will, you know why? Because you-" Pausing. Pressing a kiss to her head again "You don't give up, you keep on trying. " 'Momma' ... oh how it pained them to hear it. +

Crossing the room, hands gently raised, running over her hair and ears to cup her face, gazing up at her in that adoring expression a parent would give.

"You're always welcome, mon étoile " Light, breezy in tone. Smiling gently to her as they tucked a strand of near white hair behind their ear. "I mean that" +
"I see... I have a similar issue.... maybe i can stay over more often mo- uh.... aki..." she remembers ehat happened during her panic attack... calling them mom but they never discussed it after.... but it keeps almost slipping out.... fuck.... how stupid.

"My darling.. mon étoile forte et brillante... " Murmuring, allowing her to cling. Stopping immediately in their attempts to make her look at them. "You.. .. you are strong, so very strong. So bright, so smart... " +
"I-i I cant c-cant. Its too much" soft hiccuping and trembling. Right now she was long gone beyond being calmed. She needed it out of her.

"Not at all, I love having people over " They chimed out, moving around the room gracefully, heater on, sort of just pottering about the room making sure it would be cozy. "It's always nice to have company... this place gets quiet"
You really dont mind me staying over again?.... ot doesn't bother you at all?..." she asks as she begins to help a bit out of habit. Looking at them as she adjusts the sheets

'Mom' Their heart broke a little at the word, such a simple title, but it carried more weight than any- The poor girl crying out for support- comfort, protection, safety. They cradled her, hand on the back of her head. Opalescent hues watered, shifting to sit properly.
"Mom i can't do it, I failed, I failed everybody! I said I would fix it and i failed." She sobs and holds then like a lifeline. Her thoughts were scattered and she was scared... everything scared her..
