MCP 👏 is 👏 a 👏 protocol, not an implementation. If "couldn't you just do that with an API" sounds like a stupid question, replacing API with MCP will not make it make sense.

If I had a dollar for every time a VC asked me "why can't you just do that with MCPs", I would have raised a Series A with 0 dilution by now.

Running a startup is not a sprint, it's a marathon. Except it's not a marathon either, it's a decathlon, and three of the disciplines you never even heard of before the race started.

Was honored to be invited by my alma mater @UniOsnabrueck to give a talk about entrepreneurship to current and former Cognitive Science students. In case you missed it: Audacity, agency, and grit. There, I saved you 45 minutes.

"You're being sold back to yourself" is the most gut-punching way to describe "AI companions" as a remedy to loneliness.
An excellent example of the loneliness economy. Technology makes people lonely, then sells them a solution in the form of technology. Endless profit possibility. AI mirrors you. You're being sold back to yourself. It will only increase hyper-individualism and isolation.

One of the most powerful ways to run a business efficiently is to choose your customers, as some are more valuable than others. Coincidentally, this is why governments should not aim to operate like efficient businesses.

I’m teaching my 5yo Fortran. In 20 years , he’ll be the only person who can maintain international banking infrastructure. Most valuable human alive.

"Based on everything you know about me, draw a picture of me using ASCII art". That one hurt a little.

If the writers of Bluey would just redo season 8 of Game of Thrones I’d honestly settle for that.

People who don't understand vibe coding: "Back in my days we used to write code on punchcards and had to wait a week to get mainframe time to run it!. These days you just upload a pic of your punchcard and ask ChatGPT to run it in the cloud. You don't know how good you have it!".
