I’m adding some storage batteries to my F150 for running stuff. Got these new mini 100Ah LiFePO4 batteries and they fit perfectly behind my rear seat. Got a renogy dc/dc 60A charger on the way too. Hardest part of figuring how to get 4AWG wire into the cab.

Fourth time sending this @bluetti_inc power bank for repair. Never has worked right since I got it. Randomly shuts off and needs to be plugged in to restore it. Now you drain it and it thinks it has 100% charge and won’t charge.

Picked up a nitrogen generator yesterday to provide clean air for the SEM and FIB for $150. Drive over 300 miles round trip to get it. These were used in Starbucks during the nitro coffee fad.

Took the truck on a trip to get a N2 generator. Stopped by to play in some sand too. Got a little stuck but got myself out.

Installed an overland style rack from prime day on my pickup. Clears the roof so I can carry long stuff now. Also has some pretty bright lights.

Today’s Tek haul. RF goodness. Bunch of 3.5 to 7mm adapters, a 15cm air line and a couple dial indicators for checking 3.5mm rf connectors from Maury Microwave. Paid $10 for all. They needs to be cleaned badly. Looks like they were in a case where the foam started to rot and

Orders some boards from Digkey’s DKRed service. Pretty nice. Got 8 of these 4 layer boards for $36 in a week. Ordered some stencils from OSH Stencil which should be here next week.

Got a Keysight spectrum analyzer at work. Started giving alignment failure warning. Doing the “align now” does not fix it. Think it borked?

There is a TEM on the east coat that needs to be rescued before it gets scrapped. It’s an ETEM 101, it’s a TEM that was originally developed by Tektronix and then spun off into its own company where they made a few and went under. Not much info on these, kind of a collectors.

On the 15-17 F150s they had seats that were actually cooled, they used fans and TECs to cool the seat and seat back. But they didnt provide any way to bring fresh air into the seat back cooler so it just circulated hot air and just got incredibly hot. Made up a design for an

Portland State University remodeled the science building. Apparently it is currently called the Vernier Science Center but will be renamed the Vernier Indigenous Science Center and they was to focus on "indigenous science" over western science. As a result labs and shops have.

Got the GPS working on my “new”’pickup. Both GPS and Sirius were not working. First I thought it was the APIM but it was just the antenna. $39 from ford, way cheaper than I was expecting. Tore it apart for anyone curious. Looks like it is actually made by Laird.

A guy gave me this old Hughes Probeye thermal infrared viewer. Uses a polygon mirror so scan the light to a converter that is cooled using high pressure argon. Think virtualboy of thermal viewers.
