AI is here to support real people by removing what’s holding them back: busywork, burnout, and broken systems. The future doesn’t have to be dystopian.

Too many conversations treat AI like it’s a threat to humanity. It’s not. Used wisely, AI doesn’t replace human connection — it protects it. It gives us back time, focus, and space to lead with joy.

When school is actually designed for kids, you don’t have to beg them to show up. They ask for more. That’s the power of building a school model that works.

In a world where 28% of American students are chronically absent, that’s a breakthrough. So how are we doing it?.→ Personalized academics.→ No busywork.→ Guides who know your kid by name and by heart.→ School days that spark curiosity and excitement.

One of our core goals at Alpha is simple: kids should love coming to school. And guess what? It’s happening. Our Austin high school students voted to have summer school in 2025. Not the parents. Not the teachers. The students.

We’re failing to give kids what they actually need: confidence, skills, and a sense of direction. Let’s stop measuring success by test scores alone and start measuring their readiness for real life. The future won’t be multiple choice.

A perfect SAT score won’t help you lead a team, launch a business, or adapt when life throws curveballs. Only 52% of students feel prepared for life after high school. That’s not just a stat. It’s a warning sign.

@AlphaSchoolATX Personalized learning isn’t optional anymore. When teachers have both the freedom and the tools to meet kids where they are, outcomes change for the better. AI can help. So can schools that are brave enough to try. Read Jessica’s story here →

@AlphaSchoolATX Just read an incredible @Substack by Jessica Berg at Ellis Elementary. Their school ditched the traditional classroom model and grouped students by reading skill, not grade level. The result? 72% of “at-risk” students hit or exceeded the end-of-year benchmark.

A lot of people assume I’m anti-teacher. I’m not. I co-founded @AlphaSchoolATX because I believe teachers deserve better tools and kids deserve a system that doesn’t hold them back or leave them behind. The traditional model fails both. So we built something better.

Stop telling kids to “wait until they’re older” to do meaningful work. Financial literacy? Teamwork? Problem-solving?.They don’t need to wait — they need the chance right now. Let them try. Let them fail. Let them grow. Your child is limitless. Stop underestimating them.

Your 10-year-old is ready for more than worksheets and test prep. They’re ready to run a business. Solve real problems. Learn life skills that actually matter. At Alpha Austin, our 5th graders co-managed a real food truck. They handled the money, the marketing, the chaos. And.

There has never been a more exciting time to be a 5-year-old. We lit up our cities 150 years ago. Now it's time to light up young minds. Let's stop settling for 'fine' just because that's how we grew up. Our kids deserve better. And now we can deliver it.

We're not replacing teachers with robots. We're freeing teachers to be human. We're giving every child a personalized education that adapts to them. The switch is ready to flip.

Our teachers are thriving. No more lesson plans. No more grading homework. No more lecturing to blank stares. Instead, they focus on what humans do best: motivational and emotional support. They actually get to know each student and help them grow.

Kids who start in the 10th percentile reach the 90th percentile within 2 years. Students who cross the border from Mexico daily, speaking no English, end the year at the 99th percentile in reading. AI doesn't care if you're rich or poor, advanced or behind.

Wrong. In Brownsville, Texas (the 2nd poorest school district in America) we're seeing the same results. Half our students are SpaceX employees' kids, half are local kids living below the poverty line. Both groups perform identically.
