Whenever I talk to an undergrad intern for the first time, I ask them what they are working on. The answer is invariably DSA, regardless of department. Catastrophic jee-fication of everything is a disease. I hope I can wean a few of them away towards building actual projects.

Investments in geospatial hardware (satellites/comm systems/radar/drones) are at an all-time high. But we need similar investments in AI and software. Without sovereignty in the model layer, the stack will always be under threat. An audit of high-end software in gov is reqd.

People are throwing compeling arguments at stray dog proponents like they are amenable to logic. They are driven by bitterness towards life and kids and society, and this activism is just an outlet. Thank you to the Supreme Court for this historic directive and restoring sanity.

Being able to enjoy something at 80% level is a superpower. Most activities in life (coffee, food, fitness, hobbies etc) are enjoyable at that level, and miserable at the 1% level, unless you're a true elite whose entire life revolves around that activity.

My wife just compared all this tech-adjacent extreme longevity focus in men to anorexia in women. A physical manifestation of anxiety and lack of control. And now I can't get the thought out of my head. Spot on.

How to increase agency in others: When people come to you with a problem, first ask if they can guess how you'd answer it. Having to make a proactive guess 10x's learning -- either from success or failure. Gradually, they'll ask this question to themselves and stop using you.
