All the arguments saying marriage makes you happier, willingly ignores that marriage is where so many women experience life-ending violence. It’s not a secret. Society just doesn’t care.

Marriage makes men happier. The descending levels of happiness (according to many studies) are: unmarried women, married men, unmarried men & married women. And I say this as a happily married woman of nearly 40 years.

In 2020-on average, a female is killed by someone in her family every 11 minutes. Society doesnt care-it wants to maintain the status quo,keep women in their place. See the reversal of womens rights in western democracys. Men are happier-they go from mom to a wife for care
