Fact 8!!! Kaname actually used to be Meru’s assistant before an incident, which led to his hospitalization. He had to be sent to a hospital outside his and Meru’s hometown, and so, Meru packed his things and moved out of their old apartment.

Alright, I'm back on this. Fact number 7!! Niki has gone to visit Kaname in the hospital to "get his blessing" on dating Meru MULTIPLE TIMES, only for him to end up chickening out and not confessing. To say Kaname is done with their bullshit is an UNDERSTATEMENT

Fact 6!! Madara is a bartender and runs his own bar at his place!!! The bar has become a hangout spot for our detective and his partner. The two often go to chat with Madara as he has a wide range of information. Meru also visits often on his own whenever he feels the need to

Fact 5!! Both Niki and HiMERU think the other is FULLY straight. Well, that's before he finds out that Meru doesn't fancy women in that way. And he finds this out in probably the most comedic way, but I won't spoil that yet

I want to yap about NikiHime Detective AU, so for every ♡ this gets, I will give a Detective AU fun fact.

Fact 4!! HiMERU and Niki live together!!! Rinne moved out of Niki's apartment after offering Meru to move in with his newfound partner. He now lives with Kanata and Hiyori. Hiyori being a lawyer in this AU.

Fact 3!! Although Niki works as a chef part-time, his main job used to be working at the police station together with Rinne and Kohaku! That was before he got redirected as HiMERU's assistant and crime solving partner

Fact 2!! Idk if I mentioned this publicly yet. Madara and HiMERU are exes!! They met back when they were both in college but had a... rough break up. To put it nicely. They are still close in the current time line
