My column this week. My pre-election reflections on living in a democracy that has never been what it ought to be; on living through a campaign where human beings were used as targets, and how our freedom counts on straining for our ideals, however far away they seem.
Editor @lyman_brian writes that democracy is an act of inclusion. And when the focus of society turns toward excluding people they don't deem worthy of governance, democracy ends. #alpolitics.
