Unclimbed peaks are thus so for two reasons. They are either technically difficult or they are very remote. Often times they can be both. As a climber, does being the first to stand on a summit appeal more or does climbing a peak that is socially relevant appeal more? Please vote.

the Druk Couloir, an iconic 5000 foot (1500m) ski line in the Pakistan Karakoram. The Yosemite-sized granite walls on each side of this couloir top out at ~800 feet high (250m). Asiatic Ibex leapt about on the cliffs above while we ascended the line, 50° at its steepest point.

When I’m not pursuing personal projects as a skier and alpinist I work as a mountain guide. Japan January is only seven months away, and with as hot as it is these days, nothing cools it down more than having a powder skiing trip on the horizon. I’m working with locals in Japan
