Quite simply, one of the proudest moments you could wish for. An honour to see a wonderful group of students being celebrated, and to do so accompanying my granny as a special guest. Looking forward to see her trophy being awarded for many years to come.
Tomorrow, my grandmother, the most successful female badminton player of all time, is the special guest at my school’s annual Sports Awards. To say I’m looking forward to it would be an understatement. It’s going to be a proud family occasion - school family and actual family!!

You don’t know how this feels until you’ve experienced it firsthand… the weight of responsibility, the constant double and triple checking everything, and then on the trip itself always thinking three steps ahead. Nothing prepares you for it. Shout out to all trip leaders!.
When you are about to lead your school trip, noone prepares you for the day before checks and rechecks of passports, churning stomach, pacing around, not being able to settle, racing mind. Just one more passport count. 🤣.

If you’re a linguist, I have a session on this exact issue as part of Curriculum Thinking Week this week…
Useful phrases for this week:. - No. - So?.- In my lessons, (insert subject) is always fun.- He did NOT say that. - No- not even in the last 10 minutes. - Education is its own reward. - I don't care if they did. If you know, you know. #edutwitter.

100% agree - having an extra sounding board in addition to your own team on the ground is a huge asset!.
I love a languages school trip but my overthinking goes into overdrive at this point. Top tip- find yourself a trip buddy who is going through the same thing/same time like @lukehashman, stay in contact and you keep yourself sane. 3rd year running now!

Phil is not only a top professional, he is one of the nicest people you could hope to work with. Being based in the studio each Saturday, for several years I have experienced WWFC through his comms. You’re to blame for my increasing football interest & will be missed @bluntphil.
Thank You, @bluntphil. As many listeners of @wwfcofficial commentary via WanderersTV and Wycombe Sound 106.6FM will know, Phil has hung up his blue commentary headset — for now. 1/5. 📸 @PrimeMediaUK

Honoured to be able to present my grandmother’s trophy for the first time since she died last year. I know she would have strongly agreed that this was a very worthy winner who fully embodies her view of sportsmanship 👏🏻.

Not just a weekend. Since last Friday, I have only left my front door twice, and one of those was for my Tesco click & collect. The rest and recharging time has been glorious.
Introverts can stay inside for an entire weekend. No plans. No people. No nothing. Just chilling and vibing alone. Just doing their thing. Music. Movies. Snacks. Reading books. Staring walls. Thinking & reflecting. And trust me, they regret nothing.
