During a Texas A&M vs Texas dual meet last Friday afternoon, Rex Maurer won the men’s 1000 freestyle in 8:37.19 (short course yards). He was four seconds faster than his previous personal best from 2025, and now he is the 7th fastest performer of all time in the event.
