I love pacing young athletes. This morning I had the privilege of pacing young Felix to a Parkrun PB - and wow, what a joy that gave me. He smashed through the 20-minute barrier, by a solid 17 seconds, and while I’m sure he’s proud, I honestly think I was the happier one just.

After 12 years raising funds for charities, I'm still baffled by how ridiculously tough it is to simply donate. It's not as easy as saying, "Hey, take my money; I want to back this cause." Or, "I love your work; mind if I rally some support for you?". I get it. gotta shield.

Back on the treadmill. 4am start - 51km. I make my own hydration mix, to deliver carbs, electrolytes and minerals I need for intense/long efforts. I didn't add enough sugar and my mind was foggy the whole way. The small things matter
