Hoo boy, this is all kinds of revisionist history. So many fans were up in arms about the very IDEA of Anakin having a padawan going against all the lore and then just general hatred towards Ahsoka.
The Clone Wars was an animated cartoon that didn’t crap on the lore and the fans. And the movie cost 1/5th an episode of The Acolyte

It's hard to love @starwars when it doesn't care you exist. Thank you Manny Jacinto and Lee Jung-Jae for their incredible performances. Seeing their martial arts-inspired fight choreography made me the most emotional I've been about seeing myself represented on screen since KMT.

It's hard enough to be an artist who works, for little compensation and low visibility. Even worse to be an artist who keeps being told they're not good enough even for the breadcrumbs.

They keep telling us they want our stories, and then pulling the rug out from under us. There is no space for anything nonwhite, nontraditional. They keep trying to tell us things have gotten better, but have they?

I haven't been online in an age for a lot of reasons, but one of them is how demoralizing it is to be shopping around a book about Asian characters, by an Asian writer, and have rejections pile up and doors slam in your face left and right.

As a minoritized storyteller, there are no fucking words for how absolutely livid I am. What @starwars is saying: There is no room for us, and we are not wanted. #TheAcolyte

Not to sound utterly defeated but why should I get excited about new Star Wars shows if the worst people on the internet are going to get them canceled

The double whammy of hearing Temuera Morrison talk about the lack of hope for Boba’s return because of negativity online, coupled with the news about The Acolyte, speaks to a real issue I see in the TV side of Star Wars. It continues to cater to the absolute worst people.
