My lukewarm take of the evening is that while MBA types might actually be good at “business”, business doesn’t actually benefit anyone. On paper it might show some returns for the shareholder class, but in practice it’s a net negative to society as a whole.

I had to gain 12 years of experience before I could work in the US because I didn’t finish college. And now in Germany I have no access to the preferential visa with fast-track permanent residency for the same reason. Plenty of cases where it matters.
