MYTH BUSTER: #anaesthesia & #anaesthetists are hard words to say (I’m one & have trouble!) & people are sometimes confused about what we do (even other doctors!) and that’s fair enough, but we are way more than just people who “put you to sleep” for your surgery #covid19aus 1/

The @IDPH is requiring bouffant caps in OR, despite joint consensus from @AmCollSurgeons @ASALifeline & @aorn that there is no link between type of hat & surgical site infection—based on evidence. Who is regulating the regulators?

Hey @SOAPHQ @APSForg @ASALifeline , does anyone else have difficulty w these caps? Could twitter encourage @Teleflex_Anes to revisit the design? @RDMinehart
Hey @Teleflex_Anes @TeleflexInc , your arrow catheter epidural cap is very user unfriendly. Did you consult an anesthesiologist first? Yellow piece has to be pushed down, but no way to grip it! Meanwhile, no way to stabilize catheter while pushing yellow piece. 🤦♂️

You can be an advocate for your patient by making sure they are informed of who is taking care of their kids. It’s OK for parents to ask questions. Help them ask the right questions, and dispel the misconceptions about pediatric sedation
