This is where I complain about not being able to buy a Caitlin Clark jersey

The biggest Hawkeye star in my lifetime, in the Wild West of the NIL era, and it took a year before there were Iowa *t-shirts* with name/number. Still can’t buy her jersey. If you could, you’d see tiger hawks in grades schools all across the US.
I’ve worked for the @IowaCubs for five years. We’ve had celebrities, politicians and athletes make appearances, with all-stars and Cub greats having MLB rehab stints at Principal Park. I’ve never seen a buzz at the park like the one for @CaitlinClark22 tonight. Awesome.

This shoe is pretty damned perfect. Could have a better box/other extra shit, but it takes Miles Morales’s Chicago’s and translates them for the spiderverse. people are mad it isn’t more a straight Chicago retro. Not the job, job is Spiderverse shoe, crushes its job.
I think this sneaker did its job. For what it was intended to be, I think it was executed very well. We have to remember the intention of the shoe vs what we want certain models/colorways to be. Hopefully that makes sense. It’s a novelty shoe. It’s fun.

You’d see a lot more of this kind of thing if Iowa and Nike could unscrew themselves and figure out how to sell the jersey of one of the most popular players in her sport.

7 year old asked for a @CaitlinClark22 themed bedroom🖤🏀💛. Grandma is getting hired to make her bedding wishes a reality. Might need to mass produce, I think there’s a lot of young Iowans with the same dreams

Why are there officially licensed Nike/Iowa Caitlin Clark *sweatshirts* — and there are officially licensed *jerseys* for the rest of the WBB lineup — but no Clark jersey? Occam’s razor: one of those things Barta just inexplicably does the opposite of the obvious smart thing?
Awesome to see some @CaitlinClark22 gear at @SCHEELS in Leawood, KS today! I see that and think @IfNotForThem! If Not For those that fought the battles and changed social norms before the NCAA, WBB would not be where it is today. Happy for Caitlin and women of this generation!

Maybe if Caitlin Clark plays two more years Gary Barta and Nike will be able to figure out how to sell jerseys for a generational talent who’s breaking attendance numbers across the conference and changing the way people talk about her sport
