Today, I found the newspaper article by Darnella Grayson about my father's residency at John Marshall High School. The young man is Ernest Ottrix. The article mentions the residency being from November 17 to 24. This head study is in the permanent collection at @ARTneoMuseum

The third photo is the cover of the 1946 May Show program when Sarisky won first prize for his painting, Jacob's Dream. There is a lot to process about the 1946 May Show. Also, I have reason to believe that the profile portrait I have of #AnthonyEterovich is by Sarisky.

He was once married to Isabel Wilson. Michael and Isabel divorced, and Isabel Wilson married #RoyLichtenstein, the American pop artist. The second photo is a close up of our painting.

Mr. Sarisky graduated in 1928 and was 10 years older than Dad. Then, my father says, yes, his wife ran off with someone named #Lichtenstein! And they (the artists in his circle) were devasted for him. My mother chimed in, "Yes, Lichtenstein, nobody liked him." π

We had a fire in our fireplace over the weekend. The painting above the fireplace is by Michael Sarisky. In the early 2000s, my father was sitting at our dining room table, and he told us about the painting. He said it was by his friend from the @CleInstituteArt, Michael Sarisky

King Barber, an #oilpainting by Anthony Eterovich was in the 1952 Cleveland Museum of Art May Show. My father was 36. I think of this painting when I am reminded of the birth of #JeanMichelBasquiat on 12.22.60, an American artist who was part of the neo-expressionism movement.
