Glanbia Ireland has moved a significant step closer to transitioning into full co-operative ownership. A historic day saw close to 4,000 Glanbia Co-op sharesholders vote 80% in favour of the proposal to take full ownership of Glanbia Ireland. #farming #teamwork #Cooperatives

I was the last in a long line of Irish Independent Political Editors to run the race with legendary photographer Tom Burke. He snapped them all from de Valera to Enda. Even Gerry Adams took orders from Tom. “C’here friend, I haven’t even had a cup of tea today yet…” #RIP

So sorry to hear of the passing of the legendary photographer Tom Burke. He was a wonderful colleague, a newspaper man to his core and most importantly one of life’s true gents. Farewell ‘Burkey’
The great Tom Burke, Irish Independent photographer, sadly passed away today. He covered the great and the good, ecstatic and tragic events, for decades. When the TV drama 'Charlie' came out, Tom recalled his memories of photographing Haughey. Ar dheis Dé. https://t.co/fhk5ek7Jpt
