HEY THERE, I'm a 2D animator and cartoonist looking for work. I was just curious what the indie scene is paying these days (especially due to my rent getting a crazy hike-up). I'm highly experienced in layout, key posing, inbetweening, and cleanup.
Pro inquiries only, please >;o
Compilation thrown together a couple years ago of unusually fluid animation in TV cartoons
Some of these aren't THAT much fuller than normal, I'd probably exclude some of them if I'd made it now
@HannaBarberaCap
@shadowforsmashb
Is it bad that the most painfully distracting thing to me is actually the voice acting
Kudos to all the visual artists for portraying absolute terror and panic... but the voice acting can't NEARLY match it
Lost Dexter's Lab clip
In all seriousness, there was a character Jeff Bennett voiced in an early Johnny Bravo episode that sounded just like Dexter's dad, so... off to work I went
So apparently one of my friends had a dream about a Flintstones episode where Wilma and Fred are in a cult, so Wilma talks Barney and Betty into shaving their heads and joining
One of my only actual childhood memories of R&S is seeing this scene when I was 4 or 5, and quoting it when I was at a friend's house
...my mom wasn't too thrilled about that
In retrospect, considering how much I loved when cartoons deviated from their usual aesthetic as a kid, it's no wonder I wanted to finish the Steamed Hams project so badly
The first scene on this I've worked on since May, but I'm also not nearly this far along
There were too many distinct animators at Hanna-Barbera for me to only do a Ken Muse, so now there's a Carlo Vinci
The world premier of Spongebob took place 20 years ago today. Little did I realize that 4-year-old me was witnessing animation history being made that night when I saw the premier...
Thanks again to Stephen Hillenburg and all who've worked to keep his legacy alive
Being an animator is watching clips you took the audio from and animated to, and feeling like the audio almost fits your animations more than the actual original sources it came from
They're VERY lost if they ended up here
(...I have 0 knowledge of or attachment to the entire series, I just thought those two particular sprites looked like they'd be fun to draw)
Early Family Guy is a bit weird to watch... a lot of things are pretty much the same as modern-day, but one thing that always catches me off-guard (aside from several jokes that actually land) is these teeth showing up occasionally
