Thanks for the share :-) AI-assisted document query and summarization services are becoming more common as a feature of general services like ChatGPT or in more specialised apps. This post compares the 'ask a PDF' outputs of several services.

Hot take. A lot of what passes for Ai literacy in LIS IL currently is basically being a "scold" or "Nag" with very little actual usable knowledge except don't use. It will get better as librarians and the world understand the tech more

Not too surprising? > AI poetry rated better than poems written by humans, study shows. Findings suggest non-expert poetry readers who participated preferred AI works because they find them more straightforward and accessible

Important for shared print etc. 'Through analysis of interlibrary loan (ILL) survey data, the authors found an overall low rate of bibliographic inaccuracy, and that inaccuracies rarely prevented library staff from verifying the ownership of the item.'

I have been interested to hear from people sharing similar experiences/feelings about starting to teach in US HE. Less comment about my observations about library systems, canvas, and other systems. The bread analogy seems to resonate :-) https://t.co/dWbl8FDI3Z
