Spent some time doing some discussions with my students @masaischool with @shekhar1912 and the ideas that came out were amazing 🔥. It is interesting how a group of people can come together, brainstorm for a few minutes and come up with innovative solutions to challenges!.

I (from Ahmedabad) had written a postcard to my grandmother (in Assam) as a school activity in 2006. My grandmother received it in Nov, 2011 from postal service. After 5 years 😶🌫️. She passed away on 11 Nov, 2011, just few days later.

Life Update:. Moved on from my role @masaischool . It was a splendid experience being a part of the journey from 20 students to 1000 students batch!. The last 2.5 years working on tech, product, curriculum, and data with multiple teams was 💯. Figuring out the next steps! 😃.

@DhwaniNanavati ??? You don't need pay to book a seat if you're okay with any seat. It is a hoax if the application asks you to pay to select a seat. The first time it happened to me, I thought it was some bug. but then I saw a recurring pattern. It gets auto-allocated later if you don't select.

@Priyansh_31Dec Sounds similar to saying "addition" (learning how to add fast) is dead cause calculators have come into the picture. I can make much better and quicker decisions cause I have faster mental arithmetic abilities. I guess it's something similar for DSA/CP with AI.

In English, we say "Pivot",. In Urdu, we say,. "kashti badalne ki zarurat nahi, .disha badal do toh kinara badal jaata hai". 🙈 "pivot" has been my favorite word for quite some time now. 🙈.

Quit job in August, intent to build something. Did nothing much the first month!. Been ~ 3 months - .1. helping (upcoming founders) build stuff.2. volunteering @TeachForIndia .3. building some random stuff for myself.4. focusing on phys. health. I feel much more energetic now!.
So many Gen AI startups hiring now. The best time to take my advice was 8 months ago. The second best time is now.

Till mid-December, my younger sister barely knew how to code, she started learning to program using GPT, has picked up on Flask, did some basic data science projects, and now has ramped up on LLMs, got an internship, and am planning to buy a GPU for her. Just 4 months of effort!.

Still remember my first day in my full-time role @ Codenation/Trilogy. "create a docker container which takes two numbers as input and uses a paired up hosted Redis container to process addition, get back the answer, and print it". Was lost totally without any clue what to do 👀.
I started my job with a very basic knowledge of DevOps. Knew nothing about IaC, CI/CD and Cloud. Fast-forward 10 months: Learnt so much about Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, CI/CD, AWS, and the list goes on. You think you can't do something? Give yourself time. Read good.

First day of chem class at coaching (JEE) in 11th grade, still remember how beautifully the teacher said - "we're here to prepare for engineering and NOT science, so curiosity only up to a limit will be entertained. not all "why" can/will be answered - when I stop, you stop".
In my 9th standard, I had asked my chemistry teacher: “why are there 2 electrons in an orbital, not 3 or 1”?. She said: “Paras, you ask too many questions.”. Kids are naturally curious but it’s sad how adults murder it. (Thank goodness I was too headstrong to listen to her).

this week has been 💯. 1 hr of badminton.4 hrs of PB.1 hr of swim.3 hrs of TT.4 x 45 min gym sessions, all muscle group workouts done.1 x 15 min HIIT cardio session.food only between 12 noon to 10 PM.wins at work.moved the side project a bit. run + tennis over weekend!.

Now that I have been off full-time work for a few months, I feel much happier and grateful that it happened!. Already feels like if and when I start working full-time, I am likely to be back with much more energy!.

Had taken only like 5-6 flights till 2017. Today taking my 107th flight!. Still remember used to take 2.5 days from Ahmedabad to Guwahati (every summer vacation!) via connecting trains and now taking a direct 3 hour flight is the norm.

Faced some horror today. A food outlet which had become my go to place for a daily meal - Idli + Coffee was undergoing renovation. To my shock, it has turned into flower boutique. Had been waiting for last 2 months for it to open 😞.

During a 1st-grade class I was teaching today, Kid A claimed Kid B hit her and started crying profusely. Promptly, I separated them. Surprisingly, within 5 minutes, they were back together, sharing cheerful chatter!. Kids' are quite unpredictable! 😵💫😅.
