Alex got a job in a pub as a kitchen porter. Tonight was his first night. As I arrive to pick him up, he walks across the car park with 2 bin bags. From nowhere, I see him as a 3 year old, toddling in dungarees, seeing me and his face lighting up.
And then it vanishes..

I had the same overwhelming feeling when my 17 year old daughter got her part time job in Sainsburyโs. I popped in to see her and there she was, my little girl, with apron and hat on, cleaning the deli counter. It took my breath away.

It's when I was teaching my daughter to drive.... occasional panic when I looked across from the passenger seat and saw her as a 3 year old, unable to even see out of the windscreen. Worse still, when I saw her as my opponent in Mariocart games ha ha. Scary times

My 18 is off to uni in sept but is staying home. My 11 is starting secondary school in sept. So big changes for my children. Due to lockdown my children werenโt able to finish their school year they way they should. Very sad. I look at old school photos of them both. I am proud x

I see the toddler in my 6โ2โ physio student son every time I look at him. For some reason, he wonโt let me snuggle him or blow raspberries on his belly any more though ... ๐ณ
