I knew that if I started narrating the video right from the start, a TON of viewers would instantly click off. This is pretty common for new creators because there's no trust built just yet. I ended up starting the video with Ryan Trahan himself. This took care of 2 things. 1.

Lastly, I'll explain how I retained a bunch of viewers during the intro, although no one who watched the video knew who I was.

My video obviously got recommended to a bunch of Ryan Trahan viewers, but what I didn't expect is that most of them would be watching the video from their TV. This naturally increases audience retention, as people are a lot less likely to click off a video, if they're watching

Ryan Trahan, at the time, was in the middle of his 50 States in 50 Days AirBnb series, which was wildly popular on YouTube. On YouTube, you can often go viral when identifying trending topics. Additionally, this was already a proven format since creators like Paddy Galloway had

I uploaded a video that got 55'000 views on a channel that only had 390 subscribers. Here's why it did so well:

Fire concept for YouTube videos I just stumbled upon. It got 900x more views than the average video on that channel. Easy to replicate the idea. “X vs Y - Do people treat you differently?” Expensive Vs Cheap Car - Do people treat you differently? $5 haircut vs $50 haircut -

I posted a YouTube video trying to generate video editing leads. I thought this would be smart because I could warm up potential clients in the video by providing a bunch of value and displaying my skill. It’s only at 500 views, but…

I filmed a YouTube video a little while ago and I can say I had no idea how difficult it is to actually speak normally in front of a camera. Talking head creators - I understand the struggle of misspeaking on a different level now

Take a look at a trial video I did for a YouTuber with over 11 Million subs @MovlogsCrypto exactly 1 year ago. Tried building curiosity by blurring his physique and weight in the intro. Need a video editor? Check out https://t.co/4WalQkLwmK

Here's one of the test videos I did for a portable cleaner brand. I didn't get ANY feedback and only half of the payment lmao Always ask for at least 50% upfront from new clients. Otherwise, they probably wouldn't have paid anything at all.

Update: 6 months ago I competed with 800 other editors, and they hired someone else. I was told that if they needed some more help, they'd reach out - usually, this is a polite way to say no. Months down the line they reached out again and we started working together. Although

Here's a video that I did for @jumpropedudes A YouTuber with over 1 Million subs. He absolutely LOVED it. 800 people applied for his video editing position. I was one of the few who got on a call. Let me know what you'd improve.

A map animation I did for a video. If executed correctly, it should help with retention. The promised location change hints at a change of circumstances. This gives the viewer a reason to wait for the next location. Need an editor? - DM me. Full vid - https://t.co/FalME7cR0V

This is the craziest video I've done this year if not ever. Over 250 raw clips. 1000+ cuts (guesstimate) Tomorrow I'm posting map animations from this video which took more time than I'd like to admit. Need a reliable editor? - DM me. Full video: https://t.co/FalME7doQt
