I think when I was growing up I was only aware of 3 types of music: country, oldies, and church. Not sure if this was limiting. In high school I learned about Prog rock and jazz, thank god.

What did all of those masked bands end up doing? I seemed to recall there were some bands that wore masks as like a thing. My favorite one was Wax Museum Pandemonium. Anyways, are you guys embracing the current moment?

Just heard Bella Fleck say on the radio that some people have a switch inside them that tells them to hate banjo. I can relate. I have that switch too but it hates FAST banjos.

If I had started earlier, I would have really tried to get virtuosically good at primitive guitar. I love it. I think it might be too late though. Probably my best chance at eventual virtuosity is on upright bass. I’ll get there.
