So they turned on Littledata’s Klaviyo integration. 1. Tracked 100% of checkout initiations (before an email was even entered). 2. Used PersistentID to recognize returning shoppers, even when cookies failed. 3. Sent real-time checkout data to Klaviyo, so they could retarget.

Turns out, Klaviyo’s default checkout tracking was missing half the picture. ❌ Klaviyo only fires “Checkout Started” when someone enters their email. ❌ No email = No retargeting. ❌ No tracking = No way to optimize.

Wildgrain—a DTC brand selling bake-from-frozen sourdough & fresh pasta—thought they had it covered. Klaviyo flows? ✅ Free croissants for life? ✅ No-commitment subscription? ✅. Still, they weren’t recovering as much revenue as they should.
