So honored to be part of this. What a night!!
A good story on Senior Night. In 4th grade Amir AlShuaibi moved from Yemen to Rochester. He first attended RCSD and his principal was Mrs. Diaz and his teacher Mrs. Watson. Amir never forgot their impact on him and yesterday they stood w him and were so proud of him ❤️⚽️👏🥲

We saved some turkeys today by creating a disguise after we read Turkey Trouble by Wendi Silvano! We got Shazaam, an ice cream cone, a peacock and Captain America!

They’ve learned about racist policies that kept black Americans from buying homes in Rochester as well as the segregation in schools. They used their voice by creating posters that could be used to protest these policies. I’m so proud of their open hearts in these conversations.
