hey, I have decided I will be perma-deactivating my account in the next 24hrs. this is unrelated to the stuff happening on twitter itself, but more of a personal choice/mental health related. if you want to reach out, you probably know how. so long, and thanks for all the fish ☺️

I bet you his next step will be removing the "Following" timeline because that's what everyone will use

At this point I was already convincing myself that a second hand, i7 10th gen Chromebook for $350 was more worth than repairing the Thinkpad, given that as soon as I get the Chromebook I would unlock it, flash Coreboot from @MrChromebox and roll an Arch install onto it...

Why is it that Thinkpad official batteries last for so little nowadays before they stop taking current? Ever since the original batteries that came with this laptop broke it has acted very unreliably.

My Thinkpad refuses to boot with the 6 month old, now broken battery. Taking it out and booting from mains power worked, but a sudden spike in voltage on the charger made the laptop shut off instantly and now refuses to turn on (laptop boots then blinks 3 times, so it's firmware)

holy FUCK. Windows Snipping Tool is vulnerable to Acropalypse too. An entirely unrelated codebase. The same exploit script works with minor changes (the pixel format is RGBA not RGB) Tested myself on Windows 11

@ItsSimonTime @David3141593 I've got a fun one for you all to look at. I opened a 198 byte PNG with Microsoft's Snipping Tool, chose "Save As" to overwrite a different PNG file (no editing), and saves a 4,762 byte file with all that extra after the PNG IEND chunk. Sounds similar :D

I just cannot get over the amazing choices for the midset songs with regards to the sound design, the high pitched notes, almost "crystallized" sound. I just can't and listening to it IN PERSON was such a experience. Never forget SOMETHING FOR YOUR MIND! #notafraidof138 #asot1000

Oh wow, that's a first one for me. Using a probably legitimate/now hacked WordPress instance to send spam _as part of the WP username field_. Nope, not using the SMTP directly, just creating accounts in the hacked instance to send spam through the default "new user" template.
