Many companies are stepping up and offering travel and other assistance for their employees to get abortion access but women should not have to share this private health decision with their employers in order to access what yesterday was a constitutional right.

For everybody saying it's unacceptable to change the number of Supreme Court justices, Mitch McConnel did that for almost a year. When he refused to allow RBG's seat to be filled, he changed the number of justices on the Supreme Court from 9 to 8.

Today, in Alabama & in states across the country, safe abortion is no longer legal. People will die because of it. That's not pro-life.

Understand what’s at stake this November. We have one shot to draw a line in the sand and send a clear and definitive message rejecting the extreme right-wing agenda of oppression. If we fail, if we fall short, if we do not show up en masse and #vote, there may be no going back.

Let’s be 100% clear. If Republicans win control of the House, Senate and White House two years from now, they will pass a national abortion ban. And no matter where you live, no matter how pro-choice your state is, women and doctors will be locked up for practicing health care.

We are better than this. We deserve to have our freedoms protected, not stripped away.

The messaging needs to be clear, consistent and true. “Congress can override what the Supreme Court did and pass a law to legalize abortion. To do that, we need to elect 2 more Democratic Senators and to hold the House. Pres Biden will sign a law codifying Roe if that happens.”

Millions of women in America will go to bed tonight without access to the health care and reproductive health care their mothers and grandmothers had for 50 years. A constitutional right has been taken from the people of America.
