This has become my practice too - makes it part of the normal preparations and lowers the cognitive barrier.
Cric/FONA & My Human Factors Every time I perform RSI, I palpate the pt's neck & locate the cricothyroid membrane. It's good practice, but more importantly touching the pt's neck is how I preemptively break the mental barrier to performing cric in the event it becomes necessary.
