Technical article by @limariaph et al. and #openaccess too! The authors developed and tested a new setup for keeping ants or similar sized insects in small groups. It is quick to build, cheap and with reusable materials. https://t.co/yIjJSJnLIA #artificialnest #behavior #plaster

¡¡¡¡¡ Spoiler Alert !!!!! You won't need to worry anymore about the water supply, accidental deaths in the water reservoirs or adding extra stress to your ants/insects during the experiments. You will save time and the ants/insects will be safe!

Our setup to work with ants and similar-sized insects is published in @InsSociaux (online version) @Dr_AntzZ @Docteur_Drey. It's cheap and easy to build and most important, very useful for long-term experiments (up to 270 days!)
