I'm baffled too. This is the EASIEST Marvel hero to make a movie out of. Hell it worked in 1998. A badass, vampire hunter that beats the shit out of vampires and other supernatural creatures, yet they can't figure out HOW to do it in 2025? What are they being paid for anyway?
