ππ’π΅π’π΄π¦π΅ is a system I created to reorganize found imagery. Born from my hand-cut collage practice the technique is translated into digital form preserving the same structural logic, revealing latent patterns through reconstruction. 1/8π§΅

Why are female artists so undervalued? βExperts say, it isnβt talent, its bias. A 2021 study found artworks were rated higher when ppl thought a man made them. In anonymous auctions, the price gap disappears, until buyers think they recognize a womanβs style. Then the prices drop

8/8 Once the sequence is set, the system takes over. Outcomes surface unexpectedly to reveal forms and relationships beyond my prediction. much like a generative process where structure determines possibility, and the final image emerges on its own.

7/8 The physical collection continues to expand, though at a slower pace due to the limits of available source material and the time required to construct each piece by hand. The work remains repetitive, meditative, and rooted in sequencing and reconstruction.

6/8 The ππ’π΅π’π΄π¦π΅ digital collection spans 20 works, drawing from portraits, florals, landscapes, and more. Each piece explores how structure, sequencing, and repetition shape how we read images and genres.

5/8 The hand built system transitioned seamlessly to digital with more images available. The same sequencing rules apply using AI instead of hands to reorganize the imagery at a faster pace and with more precision.

4/8 Musing on machine learning models train on vast archives of historical images to generate new outputs, the ππ’π΅π’π΄π¦π΅ works mirror that logic, reorganizing publicβdomain art history through repetition, sequencing and pattern.

3/8 Initially it was about abstraction for its own sake. But soon the system revealed how rhythm and repetition could expose the hidden structures of visual history. The qualities that make a portrait feel βRenaissanceβ or a garden view feel unmistakably Impressionistic.

2/8 The first ππ’π΅π’π΄π¦π΅ works were large scale physical collages using old art calendars. Images were sliced into fragments and sequenced by a fixed system, disrupting familiar forms into abstraction and leaving only faint traces of the original subjects.
