"Although I had those that encouraged me to both fit in and stand out, it was the belittling, negative attitudes from others which made me feel like I didn’t fit in. I wasn’t like them, so I’d never fit in." https://t.co/TU5N1ytxK8 via @lifeofablindgrl

There are many things I wish I’d learned during my time in education that weren’t on the curriculum. Since I can’t turn back the clock, I’m sharing them on the blog instead.

I’m over the moon (and slightly stunned) to share that I’m a finalist at this year’s @The_FCAs in the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion – Individual category! It would mean the world if you could take a couple of minutes to vote for me. Thank you ❤️

Today marks two years since we lost our beloved former midfielder Maddy Cusack. Maddy will be remembered at today's first team match against Charlton Athletic at Bramall Lane, while we will hold a minute's silence ahead of tomorrow's match against Portsmouth at Fratton Park.

What are WSL games like for disabled fans? The majority of grounds don't offer audio-descriptive commentary for visually-impaired fans, while only half provide a sensory room. I spoke to fans about what's improving and what more could be done. #BarclaysWSL

Ever since I found my love of women’s football, I’ve tried to play a small part in making the game more accessible for disabled fans. Huge thank you to @TomJGarry for spotlighting accessibility and featuring my words in this brilliant piece.

Couldn’t think of a better way of kicking off the new WSL season than writing about one of my favourite topics: accessibility in football. Latest words for @HerFootballHub on Chelsea introducing on-screen British Sign Language for every women’s and men’s match this season.
Chelsea have introduced on-screen British Sign Language (BSL) interpreters for every women’s and men’s home match this season🧏 The Blues will provide this accessibility initiative for all Stamford Bridge and Kingsmeadow fixtures 💙 https://t.co/ZMwtcE3hYA

@aerialfantasy amazing that this is back. But what doesn’t really help me and my friend. @lifeofablindgrl is that the app is so inaccessible for people who are visually impaired and use screen readers. So at the moment this means that we are not able to play. Unless we can do

When I was younger, I learned to be less disabled. Not anymore. I now know there’s a place for me in this world. There’s a place for you. I’ve taken to the blog to chat about how my relationship of fitting in vs standing out has changed over the years.
