If you hear a tree squirrel alarm calling while walking or driving through the African bush then stop, listen and carefully scan your surroundings. You may even find a well hidden leopard this way... #wildlifephotography #wildlife #Safari #bushcraft

Flame-grilled beef fillet & garlic mayo. Because adventurers need to be well fed after all. This recipe is one of many featured in my first book - 'To the Wild' which documents our 100-day expedition through wild southern Africa. #recipe #adventurefood #carnivorediet

Our very simple camp setup when staying in one place for a few days. It's amazing just how simply you can live when living out of a vehicle like we did for our 100-day adventure. #landroverdefender #explore #adventuretime #AdventureAwaits #camping

A steenbok ram posing beautifully in the early morning light. Fun fact - this little antelope is the only southern African antelope that buries its dung. This makes perfect sense when you are low down of the food chain and live in a relatively small territory.

Every game drive offers something different, but I really love being surprised when I least expect it. We rounded a corner in a predominantly mopane woodland area, and there, on top a termite mound, in the middle of the day, was the very chilled young leopard. Magnificent.

'Who let the owls out... whoo... whoo?". A trio of young southern white-faced owls in the Kgalagadi. These little guys were perched, half-asleep, quite deep in the foliage, so not easy to photograph. They obligingly opened their beautiful amber-coloured eyes for this pic.

Scenes like this are what me fall in love with the African bush in the first place. Granite domes, big blue sky and a view that goes on forever. Kruger really has it all.

Tiny baboon infant looking lovingly into its doting mother's eyes. They look too old to be so young!

A rare daylight shot of a pearl-spotted owlet in the Kruger National Park. One of our smallest southern African owls, standing only 20cm tall. Check out those talons!

In a forest of legs and trunks - the very cutest, tiny baby elephant. We always joke that they look to old to be so young.

"A blanket of diamonds" - tiny droplets of water trapped in a spider's nest. Photographed in the arid, drought-stricken Karoo - where water is invaluable. Nature can be so symbolic sometimes... #diamonds #beautiful #NatureBeauty #naturelovers
