I’d give the Mario side the advantage because the Sonic side has mostly been mischaracterizing Sonic by making him violently decap!tate Mario or something. Meanwhile all the Mario side has to do is like. Make fun of his games. Or his model. Lol

I think this trend is really great at looking into the interpretations of these two between the fandoms, because most Pro-Sonic art has been these intense shonenlike pieces while the pro-Mario side has mostly been comedic unserious stuff where Sonic pisses his nonexistent pants
