Another standout ASG moment was the year that Mike Piazza homered in Philly, his hometown; he was with the Dodgers at the time and at the peak of his powers. This guy disappeared into a sea of Kershaw jerseys before I could ask him his name.

For Lorenzo Cardona, who’s out here from Jersey, the 🐐 ASG moment came in 2000, when Derek Jeter won MVP (took home the honor in that year’s World Series, too). A close second is ‘97, when Toni Martinez won the home run derby, he says.
