May 10, 2024, around 10:35 p.m., officers were dispatched to the area of E. Main Street and North Limestone for a gunshot victim. Officers located a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital with reported life-threatening injuries.

On 05/05/24, around 10:21 pm, officers were dispatched to W Short St and Mill St for shots fired. They located shell casings and vehicles that had been struck by gunfire. A female victim suffering from a reported non-life-threatening gunshot wound arrived at a local hospital.

We welcomed 19 new police officers this morning as Recruit Class 10-2023 graduated from the Training Academy! These new officers will now enter the Field Officer Training phase and will be on patrol.
