Something changed in me and I can never go back, they still don't get that. I'm fine with the way things are now, but they still want the old me back.

I used to be angry and expressive, some people loved and encouraged that. Then I turned calm and dismissive, yet somehow they hated that.

Humans are social beings, they need each other to prosper. But be careful who you choose to be around, especially energy vampires and friends who secretly want to see you suffer, with smiles on their faces.

The realisation came too late, but I've been choosing peace over everything else ever since. There's nothing wrong with what you're still into, but I'm excluding myself completely from it all and if you can't understand why, I don't need to explain anything to anyone at all.

I've been done with the drama and bullshittery for years. I can't stay angry and emotionally unstable for any longer than the years I spent caring too much for things and people that don't actually matter.

I'm thankful enough to be with my family for raya this year. I wasn't with them last year, the year before, and the year before that. I needed them by my side real bad, when all the betrayals were happening. I'm grateful enough to be just with them, and that's okay.

I chose to stay away from it all, not because I hate everything and everyone like some of you may think, but because the peace I found in what I chose is the most valuable find for someone like me.
