Kicking off IBDP Bio SL with our biochem unit. Each of us built glucose and then we made maltose with a partner. Maltoses were condensed to amylose; we hydrolysed a chunk of that to bond to a C6 for amylopectin and she is so pretty! #IBDenton 💜🤓

#IBMYP Chem unit on solutions has just begun. I used to have students do a dilutions lab with colored water but this year, I decided we would make 'real' solutions that we will need for labs later in the unit. Not as pretty but so much more purposeful! @dhsmyp
