@leftysceptic First I've heard of it. Was it hearsay or was there evidence? .Its a callous and tasteless remark- doesn't mean she has to undress in front of a man. Odd her unbridled racism,homophobia, transphobia,Islamophobia and generally evil views caused no concern over the last 30years.

1: I have taken issue with that nurse for cynicism, cowardice, hypocrisy, engaging in a witch hunt, dishonesty and smugness. It’s also true that the racist posts in that group were actually racist.
@leftysceptic @JLFinch2 Why are you not berating the nurse who breached patient confidentiality in that group? That's an offence. Not puerile jokes. If Peggie had EVER done anything to distress a patient on grounds of race, sexuality, gender, you'd have a leg to stand on. But you don't.

There’s a distinction between maintaining that SP’s behaviour is irrelevant to her right to a single sex changing room, and defending and making excuses for what are clearly racist posts in a WhatsApp group chat. Circling the wagons and not hearing a word against her is EXACTLY.

Why it’s crucial to not put SP on a pedestal: her exercising her right to a single sex space does not mean we should seek to find good justifications for everything she has done. It’s entirely possible for her to be an arsehole who has been treated unfairly.

The way that an extrapolation by one person about who this campaign is aimed at has been escalated to “children escorting adults to the toilet” is deeply concerning about people’s critical faculties. Does this story require more investigation? Absolutely.Is it fair to describe.
