This year To save me from tears I gave it to Oli Glasner

Although feel like these might be a bit much even for the Palace stop the boats lot

But isn’t a given that the career goals of Oliver Glasner and a club the size of Palace don’t quite align, and the recklessness that might suit him his short term goals aren’t ideal! IMO we should be prioritising conference league.

And possibility he pushes us to places we didn't realise we could go etc.

Glasner has obviously been incredible and is incredible. But we're not a further Glaner's career vehicle. Win conference league, keep us up and leave us in a sustainable position is the job for the club whether that furthers his career or not. Obviously a balance etc

Glasner contract thing is awkward. I don't feel like he's that bothered about conference league but would love to get us CL. He doesn't really use players he doesn't like. How much should we chase his specific dream when he could just leave at any point?

Is a tricky one, we do have a lot of money spent being fairly unused, whose fault that is, who knows. Feel like best thing by for the club is go all out for conference league, given KupS scheduling and team selection maybe aren't doing that.
🗣️Glasner: "If you play for the first time in your club's history in European football, I think the right answer is invest and not save, and we saved." https://t.co/CJCJGYmmRT

Really good! Think we were great first half. But Señor Arteta is definitely onto something with these setpieces. Opens up these stubborn games so much. We’ll barely have time to train on anything this year l, so will be huge if can threaten consistently from them.
Fairly big game for Palace (for this stage of season) in terms of what kind of season we’ll have. Type of game we have struggled with, but win this puts down a real marker and right in the European places.

That’s a really good/intense first half. Cheeky set piece goal and that’s a forumula to take forward 🤌

Maybe hence Pep’s (very) relative failure in CL post Barca (which was a different matter)

Taking out aesthetics…it’s probably the opposite in terms of standards up and down the league. Always felt with the 2017-2023 era was kind of a case of the top teams can only play like that because they are miles better than everyone. Now the middle class has improved…
With a reliance on set-pieces, risk-averse football and copycat tactics, the best league in the world has regressed https://t.co/7YPtgnNmrT

Fair play AEK Larnaca too! Hope they all have a brilliant time in London/South London.

Frustrating night. Is broadly ok and no reason to panic. Games like this have always been the v.minor downside of the brilliant/life changing Glasner deal, so don’t think is any issue. If we want to win this thing might need to learn how to win these games though! 🦅

But that’s also partly why he’s such a compelling figure for Palace

Obviously love Wilf and he will remain the archetypal Palace legend after the 2020s team slowly get Eze/Wright’d…but it is strangely evident of the slight element of Brent/Partridge/farce around his career that Sk8er boi is playing in background of this
