It really was the concert to beat all concerts, wasn’t it? I went to Live Earth at Wembley in 2007, which was great, but nothing like this. And so great to hear it all in brilliant sound at home 40 years later. #LiveAid #LiveAid40.

Just watching BBC2’s rerun of #LiveAid. I don’t think I’ve ever seen more than clips of it. On the day itself I was vomiting in some random bushes off the M6. My poor little seven-year-old tummy got car sick. And it was baking hot, just like today.
