My second PhD chapter is now live in Genome Biology! Turns out plants actively produce metabolites, like trimethyllysine, to recruit microbial populations with the functional potential to enhance hosts’ ability to thrive under drought conditions https://t.co/6Bfv7vf48w

Undergrad student Summer has been working on her own project. Her project focuses on pure culturing fungi from soil samples that originate from dry and wet soil environments. Her goal is to be able to get an idea of which fungi are more abundant in one environment over the other.
