And schools will be so quick to adjust to this - not! Already seeing the great resignation and the quiet quit impacting teachers & schools but we are paralysed to respond creatively thanks to the archaic machines that govern us.

As I often try to point out-students go to school. School staff go to work in highly complex, interactive learning contexts. Thanks to @BrionyScott for reminding us all of that.

@tkod2001 @VonPalandt As stated, I’m not arguing against the thesis. I leave this to the medical professionals. I am asking for this respect to be extended to the education profession. We are specialists in raising and educating children. We are not children ourselves. There’s a difference.

Lindfield Learning Village is a great school. External reviewers found it impressive. It's a school we need. https://t.co/ULmq3XbU1T via @smh @JordsBaker @sophiepoisel

Goddamit @RNZeducation The whole focus on exams is beyond ridiculous!! Why we are letting an outdated and an increasing irrelevant mode of assessment potentially risk people’s health and well-being is beyond me! 🤯

We haven't let a pandemic get in the way of storytime here at @LindfieldLearn We asked the kiddos to grab a favourite cuddly toy, a blanket and jump onto a live zoom with their K-2 teachers. We read some lovely books to help us celebrate #CBCABookWeek. #bookweek2021

Great to see others recognising the huge challenges of remote schooling for Prep/Kindergaten children. Getting this cohort back to school quickly should be a top priority.

Supporting a teenager to learn from home requires the occasional refresher on trigonometry. But helping a kindergarten child learn to read is far more time intensive.
