Indoor track kicking off next week for many alumni. We have Cole and Daniel at CNU. Ethan at Liberty. Margot at Flagler and Matt at Suffolk. I really feel like I’m skipping someone.

Things like this sincerely keep me coaching. Nice alumni turnout today. Blake doesn’t really count since he’s assisting me this season, but great to see Cole, Margot, Matt and Joe out at practice as they are home on break.

As I’m sitting at school awaiting parents meeting I’m counting seasons I’ve coached. I think 7 freshman football, 32 XC, 38 outdoor track and 9 indoor track for 86 seasons in my 39 years at County. I still love the kids and meets. Can’t say same for admin stuff. Is 40 a good end?

Congrats to Matt Ramarge for concluding his first season of college XC. Like Randy, Matt was 3rd for his team. Now it’s on to his first collegiate indoor season.

Great seeing Randy race at the Region meet. He was 3rd for the team and 11th in the Region with a PR of 24:50. Great racing passing 2 guys in the final K. Now off to Nationals in a few weeks.

Despite the fact that evidently old age makes me really feel the cold and I can’t feel my fingers it was a great practice today. Some good looking sprinters in the trials and distance had a nice threshold workout. Fun times!!
