setopt SHARE_HISTORY makes sure that your Zsh history file (usually ~/.zsh_history) is continuously updated with commands coalesced from all your active sessions. It ensures that commands become immediately available in your other sessions.

Speaking of shell behaviors, the default zsh config leaves me frustrated when I run multiple sessions concurrently. Commands from one session are not shared with the other. So, I use `setopt SHARE_HISTORY`.

One of mine is to edit the shell startup file (e.g. bashrc zshrc), increasiing both HISTSIZE and HISTSAVE with another zero or two on the end, so that a decently long audit trail is available. This is especially important on servers with multiple admins.

What's the first command you run after a fresh install of Linux? What do you run upon your initial login?. #linux #sysadmin #DevOps.

Things have dried out. Here’s a section of our property and what’s left our our horse stable wrapped around an oak tree - one of the few remaining trees still standing.

This weekend, we had some weather. Here's what's left of our horse stables. The concrete foundation and some of its steel frame wrapped around a behemoth oak tree.

I minored in mathematics as an undergraduate. I fear I might be losing my grip over arithmetic as I look over a quote for repair and maintenance on my vehicle. I just can't compute this. Can anyone help me understand the cost of spark plug replacement?
